Geoexposure of the Delaware River
Location- Riverton, New Jersey. Directly across from Philadelphia, Penna.
The Delaware from the wetlands( low tide)
Eroded bank showing exposed layers. Most of the bank along the river had a wall. Portions toward the wetlands never had a wall and the bank is therefore exposed to the river, its currents, and tides. At this point the river is wider than near Trenton which is north of Riverton. There the river is shallow and not as wide.
