Introduction

The year is 3000. There have been many amazing and interesting discoveries this past century. Earthlings have the ability to travel faster than the speed of sound in vehicles that are resistant to temperature and pressure. Nuclear fuel propels these vehicles. Eartlings now want to attract organisms from other planets to travel to our solar system. Your job is to produce a travel brochure showing a feature of our solar system.

The Task

You will make a brochure that will include the following pages:

• Title Page: Include a slogan, picture of feature, and your name.
• Interesting Sights: Name and describe at least three interesting features.
• Weather Information: Include average temperature, length of year, length of day.
• Facts and Statistics: Include distance from the sun, size, and composition.
• Questions and Answers: Make up your own questions and then answer them.
• Map of Solar system: Show your planet in relationship to the sun and other planets in the solar system.

The Process

1. Go to linked websites and read the information. Highlight and print only the portions you will need for your brochure.
2. After you have gathered your information circle the parts your will use and write a page number matching the brochure assignment..
3. You can either type your brochure using a three column layout in a word processing program or neatly hand print it.

Grading

Grading will be as follows:

30 POSSIBLE POINTS FOR INFORMATION: 5 points for each page of the brochure

10 POSSIBLE POINTS FOR NEATNESS AND EFFORT

10 POSSIBLE POINTS FOR 5 PICTURES INCLUDED IN YOUR BROCHURE

TOTAL 50 POSSIBLE POINTS
